Frequently asked
What’s the difference between margin and markup?
Margin = profit ÷ price. Markup = profit ÷ cost. A ₹4,000 profit on a ₹10,000 price is a 40% margin but a 66.7% markup (on a ₹6,000 cost). They describe the same job with different denominators.
